Ingredients

  • 1.5 c
    macaroni, cooked
  • 6 slice
    low-fat bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 c
    chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped and cooked
  • 1/2 c
    bell peppers, chopped and cooked
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup, fat-free
  • 1 c
    fat-free sour cream
  • 1.5 c
    frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 5/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1.5 c
    fat-free cheddar cheese or lowfat shredded

How to Make Chicken Mac Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Prepare a 8 x 12" pan with cooking spray; set aside.
  3. Return hot macaroni to saucepan.
  4. Stir in bacon, chicken, onions and bell peppers.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, mixed vegetables, garlic powder and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  6. Spoon half the macaroni mixture into prepared pan.
  7. Cover with half vegetable mixture.
  8. Repeat layers.
  9. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake, uncovered, 3 minutes more.
