Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 bone in chicken leg quarters
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 10 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
How To Make chicken leg quarters in mushroom onion sauce

Step 1Mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken in the flour. Add the oil to a skillet and brown the chicken on one side for 4 minutes. Turn the chicken and brown for another 4 minutes.

Step 2Remove the chicken to a plate and set aside. Add the onion and mushrooms to the pan. Season with salt. Cook until the mushrooms have let out their moisture. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the chicken stock to the pan. Add the chicken back to the pan.

Step 3Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes. Remove the chicken again to a plate. Bring the sauce to a boil and let simmer until reduce by 1/3, about 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream. Simmer 2 more minutes.

Step 4Add the chicken back to the pan and cook 3 minutes. Serve.
