This is what I make when I wanted my stepsons help their dad with a project. All I had to say was that their dad needed some help and I was making Jambalaya. They came a running.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1
    small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium
    green pepper, cleaned and quartered
  • 1 small
    onion, quartered
  • 1 box
    pre cooked sausages, partially defrosted
  • 3 c
    cooked chicken
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 can(s)
    (16oz) whole tomatoes

How to Make Chicken Jambalya

Step-by-Step

  1. Mince garlic in food processor. Add Green pepper. Process 5 minutes. Add to melted butter in pot.
  2. Slice onion and sausage in food processor. Add to pot and saute.
  3. Chop tomatoes, add to pot. Add chicken, water and seasonings. Bring to boil
  4. Stir in rice and cook until rice is tender. Stand 10 minutes and remove bay leaf.
