My family enjoys this casserole. I came across it at least 20 years ago and save it for special get-togethers. Chicken just doesn't get any better than this!

Ingredients
- - (to prepare: boil chicken ahead of time and cut into thick pieces. or use 4 large chicken breasts.)
- 1 - chicken, or 4 lg breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 6 teaspoons picante sauce (i use pace chunky)
- 2 cups monterey jack cheese, grated
- 1 package regular fritos (regular-size bag)
How To Make chicken in the chips casserole

Step 1Mix soup, sour cream and picante sauce.

Step 2In a greased 2-quart casserole, make layers with chicken, soup mixture, cheese, then chips. Repeat layers.

Step 3Bake at 350°. For 20 – 30 minutes, or heat in microwave 8 - 10 minutes, until hot.
