canola oil
1 lb
chicken pieces with skin and bones removed
onion, chopped
garlic clove, minced
1 lb
tomatillos, fresh
green chiles, roasted and chopped
1/2 c
apple juice
1 Tbsp
cilantro, fresh and chopped

How to Make Chicken In Salsa Verde


  • 1Spray a non-stick skillet with vegetable cooking spray.
  • 2Heat oil and saute chicken then add onion and garlic, stirring until limp.
  • 3Add remaining ingredients.
  • 4Reduce heat, cover, and simmer about 15 minutes.
  • 5NOTE: May substitute 12 ounces of canned tomatillos if you don't have fresh.
