Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 cups heavy cream
- salt and pepper
- 4 cups cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, whisked with a little water
How To Make chicken in puff pastry with creamy sauce

Step 1Preheat oven 350 degrees F. In a saucepan, add the butter and let it melt. Add the onion and saute for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Whisk in the flour and cook 1 minute.

Step 2Add the chicken stock and heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Mix the chicken with 1 cup of the sauce and set aside.

Step 3Roll out the puff pastry and cut each in half. Place foil on a baking sheet. Place about 1 cup of chicken mixture onto one end of the puff pastry. Fold the puff pastry over the chicken mixture and pinch to seal. Place each one on the foil. Brush the puff pastry with the egg wash.

Step 4Bake 25 to 30 minutes until browned. Place some sauce onto the plate and top with the puff pastry square.
