Ingredients
- 1 - whole chicken about 2 to 3 pounds
- - olive oil
- - salt
- 10 cloves garlic unpeeled
- 2 large lemons zest only
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 2 sprigs sage leaves
- 1/2 gallon milk
- 1/2 cup white wine
How To Make chicken in milk

Step 1Place a dutch oven on stove and add the oil. Sprinkle the chicken with salt. Brown the chicken on all sides on top of stove. Add the milk, garlic, lemon zest, sage leaves, and cinnamon stick to the pot. Place in the oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 1 to 1/2 hours. Remove the chicken and set aside to rest.

Step 2Strain the milk sauce and discard the solids. Add the strained sauce to a saucepan and add the white wine. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer until reduced and thickened a bit.

Step 3Serve the sauce over the chicken or on potatoes.
