Ingredients

  • 2-3 lb
    chicken, broiler-fryer
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 c
    stuffing
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    boullion
  • 4
    potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 lb
    peas
  • 6
    carrots, sliced

How to Make Chicken In Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375.
  2. Wash and dry chicken.
  3. Sprinkle cavity with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff with stuffing.
  5. Tie legs together.
  6. Brown on all sides in butter in deep baking pan.
  7. Add bouillon and potatoes.
  8. Bake, covered 30 minutes.
  9. Add peas and carrots and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  10. Cover and bake 30 minutes longer.
