The beer you use will effect the flavor. I used Coors Lite.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika
  • thyme
  • olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard

How To Make chicken in beer sauce

  • Step 1
Score the chicken in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through. Season with the salt, pepper, paprika and thyme. Rub on the chicken with a little olive oil.
  • Step 2
Place the olive oil and butter in a sauce pan. Brown the chicken on both sides and remove to a plate. Add the red onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes. Add the beer, honey, soy and mustard and mix well. Bring to a boil and let reduce 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
Add the chicken back in and cover and cook about 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Serve topped with the sauce.
