Ingredients
- 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs
- - salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- AMBER ALE SAUCE
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 cup amber ale
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- - salt and pepper
How To Make chicken in amber ale sauce

Step 1Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Add oil to a large pan and add the chicken, and cook for 20 minutes. Turning often.

Step 2Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside. Add the onion and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3Add the chicken stock, brown sugar, and ale. Bring to a boil. Add the thyme and bay leaf. Cook until reduced by half.

Step 4Whisk in the butter one tablespoon at a time. Stir in the vinegar.

Step 5Add the chicken back and remove the bay leaf. Cook five more minutes. Serve the chicken with the sauce.
