Ingredients

  • 1 large green bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 - minced garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can pineapple tidbits with juice
  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1/3 cup toasted almond slivers

How To Make chicken hawaiian

  • Step 1
    In large frying pan, cook green pepper with garlic in oil until tender.
  • Step 2
    Blend in soup and pineapple juice from can.
  • Step 3
    Add chicken, pineapple bits and soy sauce.
  • Step 4
    Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 5
    Serve over rice and top with toasted slivered almonds.
  • Step 6
    To toast almonds, put them in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes with a tablespoon of butter, strring and watching to see that they do not get too brown.
