This recipe was created and handed down to me by my Mother-in-law, Mary Ward. Chicken Goop is what my husband called it as a young child. Mary just calls it Crock Pot Chicken. Either way you call it, it's still good!

boneless skinless chicken breast
1 medium
onion, sliced and separated into rings
8 oz
canned mushroom stems & pieces, drained
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 jar(s)
chicken gravy
pam cooking oil spray
oregano, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
1/2 c
lawry's seasoning salt, to taste

How to Make Chicken Goop


  • 1Lightly spray pan with Pam. Sprinkle chicken with seasoning salt. Brown chicken pieces quickly over medium-high heat. Drain on paper towel. In Crockpot, layer pieces of chicken until bottom is covered without overcrowding. Cover with some of mushrooms, onion rings, a generous pinch of oregano, and a light sprinkle of garlic powder. Continue layering of chicken, mushrooms, and onions. Mix soup, gravy, and half cup water. Pour over layers. Cook on low 5-6 hours.
