chicken breast filets
4 c
chicken stock
2 medium
apples peeled , cored and sliced
8 oz
sharp white cheddar cheese
1 c
honey butter
1 pkg
puff pastery sheets
8 tsp
butter, melted

How to Make Chicken Gaylone

Step-by-Step

  • 1Take frozen puff pastry out of freezer to defrost
  • 2Preheat oven to 350
  • 3Poach Chicken Breast Filets in chicken stock until cooked through
  • 4While chicken is poaching peel and slice apples,and cheese, cover with wet paper towel to keep apples from turning brown.
  • 5Remove chicken from stock and cool for 1/2 hour
  • 6While chicken is cooling unwrap puff pastry, cut each sheet in half. On floured counter roll out each piece to size that will enclose chicken
  • 7In middle of pastry sheet place 2 slices of cheese, 3 slices of apples, 1 tablespoon of honey butter, then place chicken breast on top. Wrap puff pastry around chicken
  • 8Place seamed side down on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter cook until puff pastry is golden brown
  • 9Remove from oven let rest for 15 minutes serve with your choice of rice and veggies
