Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken breast filets
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 2 medium apples peeled , cored and sliced
  • 8 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup honey butter
  • 1 package puff pastery sheets
  • 8 teaspoons butter, melted
  • MAKES 4 80Z SERVINGS

How To Make chicken gaylone

  • Step 1
    Take frozen puff pastry out of freezer to defrost
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 400*
  • Step 3
    Poach Chicken Breast Filets in chicken stock until cooked through
  • Step 4
    While chicken is poaching peel and slice apples,and cheese, cover with wet paper towel to keep apples from turning brown.
  • Step 5
    Remove chicken from stock and cool for 1/2 hour
  • Step 6
    While chicken is cooling unwrap puff pastry, cut each sheet in half. On floured counter roll out each piece to size that will enclose chicken
  • Step 7
    In middle of pastry sheet place 2 slices of cheese, 3 slices of apples, 1 tablespoon of honey butter, then place chicken breast on top. Wrap puff pastry around chicken
  • Step 8
    Place seamed side down on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter cook until puff pastry is golden brown. Approximately 25 mins
  • Step 9
    Remove from oven let rest for 15 minutes serve with your choice of rice and veggies
