Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds cubed beef steak, pork or venison
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups milk
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make chicken fried steak & gravy

  • Step 1
    Cut steak into serving size portions. Mix flour, salt and pepper in dish. Dip steak in butter, then coat with flour mixture. Heat oil in skillet and when hot enough add steaks. Brown steaks on both sides. Cook, covered, for 20 minutes or until tender, turning frequently. Drain steak on paper to remove excess oil. Reserve 3 tablespoons pan drippings. Blend reserved flour mixture into drippings. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring continually until thickened. Serve over steak...
