This pork chop recipe is the definition of comfort food & topped with a mustard sauce, it is simply delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork chops
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • - salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs, seasoned
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard

How To Make chicken fried pork chops w/ mustard sauce

  • Step 1
    Mix egg & 3 Tbsp of milk together in a shallow dish.
  • Step 2
    Mix pinch of garlic powder, 1 tsp of thyme, pinch of cayenne pepper, salt & pepper with bread crumbs.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oil in a flat skillet to medium heat.
  • Step 4
    Cover pork chops first with flour, then with egg/milk mixture & at the end with bread crumbs.
  • Step 5
    Fry until golden brown for about 3 - 4 minutes per side.
  • Step 6
    FOR MUSTARD SAUCE: Remove oil from the skillet & leave about 1 Tbsp. Add mustard, 1 Tbsp of flour & mix well. Add the rest of the egg/milk mixture, water, garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of thyme, pinch of cayenne pepper, salt & pepper.
  • Step 7
    Mix all together & let it thicken. When the sauce thickens cover pork chops with it & serve.
