chicken fettuccine alfredo
This dish is one of my families most requested..the crispy bacon and yummy sauce, sets this dish off...my kids are now happy little campers, with full bellies.. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 package (12 ounces) fettuccine
- 8 slices bacon , cut into 1 - inch strips
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced..i used canned and drained tonight
- 10 - 12 - green onions, sliced thinly, including the green ends
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
- - additional shredded parmesan cheese
How To Make chicken fettuccine alfredo

Step 1Gather ingredients Cook fettuccine according to directions on the package.

Step 2In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels; reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings. Saute the chicken in the drippings until no longer pink. Add the mushrooms and green onions; cook until mushrooms are tender, stirring frequently.

Step 3Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in the cream, cheese, paprika, salt and pepper. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 - 10 minutes. Stir in the reserved bacon.

Step 4Drain the fettuccine; place in serving bowl. Add the sauce, toss to coat. Garnish with the additional parmesan.
