Chicken Duplet Casserole

Some times when I would visit my mother she would take me to her Senior Citizens pot luck dinner. This was one of the dishes that was served. I loved it so much I had my mom contact the lady for the recipe. These lovely ladies are now gone but their wonderful cooking will still live on and on....
Ingredients

4 Tbspbutter

4 tspflour
-
3/4 cchopped celery

1 chalf and half

2 cchicken broth
-
2 pkg8oz. cream cheese, cubed

2 cfresh sliced mushrooms or 2 small cans

2 can(s)small cans, sliced black olives or 1large can

1 tspsalt
-
1 tsppepper
-
4 ccooked diced chicken

4 ccooked wide egg noodles

2 cbuttered bread crumbs
How to Make Chicken Duplet Casserole
- Saute celery in butter until tender. Add flour to this and stir.
- Add the half and half and chicken broth, stir until thickened. Add the cubed cream cheese and stir until melted. Stir in salt and pepper. Cover and set aside.
- Cook noodles in salted water, drain and place in large casserole dish. Stir in chicken, mushrooms and olives.
- Pour cream cheese mixture on top of noodles stir slightly.Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs over top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
