If you like black olives and mushrooms you're going to love this dish! Some times when I would visit my mother she would take me to her Senior Citizens pot luck dinner. This was one of the dishes that was served. I loved it so much I had my mom contact the lady for the recipe. These lovely ladies are now gone but their wonderful cooking will still live on and on....

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons flour
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup half and half
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 packages 8oz. cream cheese, cubed
- 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms or 2 small cans
- 2 cans small cans, sliced black olives or 1large can
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cups cooked diced chicken
- 4 cups cooked wide egg noodles
- 2 cups buttered bread crumbs
How To Make chicken duplet casserole

Step 1Saute celery in butter until tender. Add flour to this and stir.

Step 2Add the half and half and chicken broth, stir until thickened. Add the cubed cream cheese and stir until melted. Stir in salt and pepper. Cover and set aside.

Step 3Cook noodles in salted water, drain and place in large casserole dish. Stir in chicken, mushrooms and olives.

Step 4Pour cream cheese mixture on top of noodles stir slightly.Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs over top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
