I tried this recipe not too long ago & my husband said it was the best "new" dish I'd fixed in a while. This is a Reames recipe.

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 8 oz packages fresh mushrooms
- 3 cups prepared alfredo sauce
- 3 cups chopped cooked chicken breast
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 8 ounces bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
- 1 12 ounces pkg reames homestyle flat dumplings
How To Make chicken & dumpling casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Butter a ceramic baking dish. Bring 4 quarts of water to boil in a large saucepan. Add Dumplings & allow water to return to a boil, lower heat & simmer for 20 minutes. Drain. In saute pan, heat oil & cook onions 2-3 minutes or until tender. Add mushrooms & continue to cook until mushrooms are golden. Remove from heat. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients & toss gently to cover all with sauce. Spoon into prepared dish & bake 30-35 minutes or until heated thoroughly.
