Ingredients

  • SAUCE:

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 tsp
    finely chopped garlic
  • 1/3 c
    teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 c
    firmly packed raw sugar
  • 1/4 c
    dark molasses
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 1 - 14 oz
    bottle (1 1/3 ) cup ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 - 12 oz
    jar apricot preserves
  • DRUMSTICKS:

  • 3 TO 3 1/2 lb
    chicken drumsticks

How to Make CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITH APRICOT GLAZE

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in 4 quart sauce pan until sizzling, add onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until onion is softened (3 to 4 minutes). Stir in all remaining ingredients except apricot preserves. Continue cooking until sauce comes to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low . Cook, stirring
    occasionally, 20 minutes. Stir in Apricot Preserves.
  3. Heat oven to 400 degrees, Place drumsticks in lightly greased 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Pour sauce over drumsticks, stir to coat. Bake for 45to60 minutes, basting occasionally or until drumsticks are tender and sauce is thickened.
  4. To serve, Keep chicken warm by placing in slow cooker on low heat setting If covered, sauce will become thin.
