I'm loving this recipe because once it's together...it all goes in the Crock pot and it's good!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 cups white bread
  • 6 cups prepared corn bread
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 3 - chicken breasts

How To Make chicken dressing

  • Step 1
    Stew chicken until it's done. ( I use skinless-boneless), cut up in small pieces. Cook onion and celery until tender in oil. ( I use butter instead). Add salt, sage, and poultry seasonings; combine breads in a large mixing bowl. Add celery and onion to mixture.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl,combine soup, broth, eggs, and vinegar. Combine with other ingredients in a large bowl, mix well. Pour into your Crock-Pot and cook on high for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Turn the heat down to low and cook another 3-4 hours. About one hour before it's done..add the chicken and mix.
