Originally from Taste of Home Magazine, this recipe needed some changing to my personal taste. I have added and subtracted but it is still the same basic dish--mmm, good! Photo: tasteofhome.com

Ingredients

  • 3 cups uncooked macaroni or pasta of your choice
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese, divided
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, cubed
  • 3/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup cooked ham, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons panko bread crumbs

How To Make chicken cordon bleu pasta casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook macaroni according to package directions to al dente; drain.
  • Step 2
    In a large saucepan, melt 2 tsp. butter over medium heat; add onion and garlic. Saute and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the cream and the cream cheese, stirring until smooth. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup swiss cheese. Stir until blended.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, bacon, ham and pasta. Add the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Step 4
    Pour mixture into a greased 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 20 minutes or until heated through and bubbly. Serve with a green salad and crusty bread.
