Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 large onions, sliced thin
  • 1 cup chicken stock or bouillon cube dissolved in water
  • 1 cup canned sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup canned bean sprouts, drained
  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and diced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

How To Make chicken chow mein

  • Step 1
    Heat pan to 350. Add oil and when it is hot, add onions and a few tablespoons chicken stock. Cover and steam until soft but do not scorch. Add chicken stock, mushrooms and bean sprouts and bring to boil.
  • Step 2
    . Reduce heat to simmer. Add chicken. Mix cornstarch with water. Stir into pan. Cover and let simmer for a few minutes. Add soy sauce, mix well and serve over fried noodles. Cooking time, 20 to 25 minute. Serves 4 Source: My Old Recipes
