This is the first dinner I made for my husband (the first week we met). After almost 13 years of marriage, it is still one of his favorites. I've seen a lot of variations of this same recipe. Hope you enjoy!

boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
16 oz
sour cream
2 box
stuffing mix (like stove top)
1 stick
butter, (for stuffing mix)

How to Make Chicken Casserole


  • 1Cook chicken in boiling water approximately 20 minutes until cooked through. Cut into bite size pieces or shred. (You can use a cooked chicken from the deli and just remove from the bone and shred for quicker prep time.
  • 2Prepare stuffing mix as directed on the package.
  • 3Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Put cooked, shredded chicken in bottom of a 13 X 9 baking dish.
  • 4In a medium mixing bowl combine the 2 cans of soup and the sour cream. Spread this evenly over the cooked chicken layer.
  • 5Spread the cooked stuffing mix evenly over the sour cream layer.
  • 6Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until hot and bubbly.
