This is one of my favorite comfort foods. This rich casserole can be made ahead. It is topped with a crunchy, cheesy topping; frozen broccoli and precooked chicken make it easy.

broccoli, frozen or 4 cups fresh
6 c
chicken, cooked, shredded
2 103/4 oz
cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 c
1 c
sour cream
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
curry powder
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 c
dry white wine
1/2 c
parmesan cheese
1/2 c
bread crumbs
2 Tbsp
butter, melted

How to Make Chicken Broccoli Casserole


  • 1In a medium bowl, combine the soup, mayonnaise, sour cream, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, curry powder, salt and pepper, to taste, and wine. Whisk together to make a sauce. Pour the sauce over the broccoli and chicken. Mix well.
  • 2Place the mixture into an 11 by 7-inch casserole dish. Pat down to even and smooth the mixture. Combine the Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and butter and sprinkle over the top.
  • 3Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 45 minutes until bubbly and browned. Serve with white rice and a salad.
