dijon mustard
2 Tbsp
1 tsp
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
butter, room temperature
freshly ground pepper to taste
chicken breast halves brined

How to Make Chicken Breasts with Honey Mustard Glaze


  • 1Combine the mustard, honey, and brown sugar in a small bowl
    and set aside.
  • 2Mash the butter with the pepper and spread
    under the skin of the chicken breasts.
  • 3Place on a wire rack in
    a large roasting pan and bake in preheated 425 (220C).
  • 4Cook for 15 minutes and add 1/2 cup (125 ml) water to the roasting
    pan to prevent smoking.
  • 5Brush the chicken breasts with the
    mustard mixture and continue cooking until the internal
    temperature of the chicken reads 160 F (70C) on an instant-read
    thermometer, 20 to 30 minutes.
