- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided

- 1/3 cup parsley, minced, plus more for garnish
How To Make chicken breast with cajun cream sauce
-
Step 1Cut slits in the chicken breast in a diamond pattern not all the way through.
-
Step 2Mix the salt, paprika, Cajun seasoning, oregano and black pepper together. Rub the chicken breast with the seasoning then drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the breast and rub it all over. Set aside.
-
Step 3Add the remaining olive oil in a large saute pan. Add 2 tbsp of butter. Once hot, add the chicken breast and brown on each side for about 4 minutes each side. Remove to a plate.
-
Step 4Add the remaining butter and add the onion and garlic. Cook about 5 minutes. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Boil 15 minutes. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, and parsley. Add the chicken back to the pan and cook covered 10 minutes.
-
Step 5Remove the chicken to rest and boil the sauce another 5 minutes to reduce more. Pour sauce over chicken breast and garnish with parsley.
