    boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, divided
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, divided
  • 1/2
    red onion, sliced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3/4 c
    chicken stock
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 c
    parsley, minced, plus more for garnish

How To Make chicken breast with cajun cream sauce

    Cut slits in the chicken breast in a diamond pattern not all the way through.

    Mix the salt, paprika, Cajun seasoning, oregano and black pepper together. Rub the chicken breast with the seasoning then drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the breast and rub it all over. Set aside.

    Add the remaining olive oil in a large saute pan. Add 2 tbsp of butter. Once hot, add the chicken breast and brown on each side for about 4 minutes each side. Remove to a plate.

    Add the remaining butter and add the onion and garlic. Cook about 5 minutes. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Boil 15 minutes. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, and parsley. Add the chicken back to the pan and cook covered 10 minutes.

    Remove the chicken to rest and boil the sauce another 5 minutes to reduce more. Pour sauce over chicken breast and garnish with parsley.
