They say these taste like "Chick-Fil-A" nuggets. The honey mustard sauce is great! Now I won't buy the kind in a jar.

Skip heading to that famous fast food place and make chicken bites at home. This wonderful chicken recipe is a cost-effective way to feed your family. Marinating the chicken in milk and eggs makes the chicken breasts tender and juicy. The batter is very light and has a fantastic flavor. Once fried, they're so tasty dipped in the homemade honey mustard sauce. Tangy and slightly sweet, the sauce contrasts the savory chicken. We couldn't stop munching on these delicious chicken bites... so be sure to make plenty!

How To Make chicken bites with honey mustard

  • Marinating bite-size pieces of chicken breasts.

In a bowl, mix milk, eggs, and 1 tablespoon of salt. Add chicken pieces and cover. Marinate for at least 4 hours, but better if overnight.
  • Flour, powdered sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
    2
In another bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, 4 teaspoons salt, and 1 tablespoon pepper.
  • Chicken pieces and flour in a resealable bag.
    3
Add some chicken pieces to a large Ziploc bag, add some flour mixture, and shake to coat.
  • Frying chicken in oil.
    4
Fry in batches in 375 degrees deep fryer or large Dutch oven.
  • Removing fried chicken from the oil.
    5
It only takes 3 or 4 minutes.
  • Draining chicken on a paper towel.
    6
Drain on paper towels or a wire rack.
  • Honey mustard ingredients combined in a bowl.
    7
For the honey mustard sauce, mix the mayo, mustard, garlic powder, vinegar, honey, and paprika in a small bowl. Cover and put in the fridge. I usually make this the night I marinate the chicken so it has a chance to blend together.
