Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 - chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 - cloves minced fresh garlic
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 can butterflake bischits

How To Make chicken biscuit casserole

  • Step 1
    Combine water, chicken, onions, celery, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil, adding water as needed to keep chicken just covered.
  • Step 3
    Simmer for approximately 30 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
  • Step 4
    Remove chicken and set broth aside. Debone chicken and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • Step 5
    In a small bowl, mix milks and flour, dissolving flour well.
  • Step 6
    Add to broth mixture and return to stove.
  • Step 7
    Stir frequently over low heat until broth thickens.
  • Step 8
    Add chicken and peas to mixture and pour into greased casserole.
  • Step 9
    Pull biscuits apart into individual thin slices and place on top of mixture.
  • Step 10
    Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes or until biscuits are brown.
