Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 2
    chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped
  • 2
    cloves minced fresh garlic
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 can(s)
    butterflake bischits

How to Make Chicken Biscuit Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine water, chicken, onions, celery, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil, adding water as needed to keep chicken just covered.
  3. Simmer for approximately 30 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove chicken and set broth aside. Debone chicken and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In a small bowl, mix milks and flour, dissolving flour well.
  6. Add to broth mixture and return to stove.
  7. Stir frequently over low heat until broth thickens.
  8. Add chicken and peas to mixture and pour into greased casserole.
  9. Pull biscuits apart into individual thin slices and place on top of mixture.
  10. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes or until biscuits are brown.
