Chicken and Wild Rice Supreme
1 pkglong grain and wild rice mix (6 oz.)
1/4 cbutter or margarine
1/3 cup cchopped onion
1/3 call purpose flour
1 chalf and half
1 cchicken broth
2 ccubed cooked chicken
1 tspchopped parsley
How to Make Chicken and Wild Rice Supreme
- Prepare rice according to package directions.
- Melt butter in a heavy saucepan; add onion and cook until transparent. Blend in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add half and half and chicken broth; cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in salt and pepper.
- Combine cooked rice, chicken, and cream sauce. Add parsley. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
