chicken and shrimp a la italiano
I got this recipe from one of those recipe share chains. It quickly became a family favorite.

Ingredients
- 2 - chicken breasts
- 1 pound medium raw shrimp
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 - bay leaf, crumbled
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large bell pepper, diced
- 1 - stalk celery, sliced
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1-2 - tomatoes, chopped
How To Make chicken and shrimp a la italiano

Step 1Peel and clean shrimp, cut into bite-sized pieces. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2Combine salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, oregano and bay leaf. Sprinkle half of mixture over shrimp, and half over chicken.

Step 3In large frying pan, melt margarine. Add chicken and saute until it turns color; scoop out meat, leaving margarine. Add shrimp to same pan and saute until pink; scoop out shrimp.

Step 4Add garlic, onion, bell pepper and celery in remaining margarine. Saute until tender. Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and tomatoes. Return meats to pan and simmer about 3 minutes or until heated through.

Step 5Serve over cooked pasta of choice: spaghetti, fusilli, linguini, penne or rice. Top with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
