My mother-in-law gave me this recipe because it was a favorite of my husband. The only thing that I do different is that I use boneless chicken breasts. I will save the story of not "eating chicken on the bone" for another day.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can(s)
    chicken and rice soup
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 1
    chicken, cut up
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper

How to Make Chicken and Rice Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Place cut up chicken in casserole dish.
  2. Mix all other ingredients except margarine.
  3. Pour over chicken. Dot with pats of the margarine.
  4. Bake covered for one hour at 350 degrees or until chicken is tender.
