chicken and rice casserole

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe because it was a favorite of my husband. The only thing that I do different is that I use boneless chicken breasts. I will save the story of not "eating chicken on the bone" for another day.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can chicken and rice soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 - chicken, cut up
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make chicken and rice casserole

  • Step 1
    Place cut up chicken in casserole dish.
  • Step 2
    Mix all other ingredients except margarine.
  • Step 3
    Pour over chicken. Dot with pats of the margarine.
  • Step 4
    Bake covered for one hour at 350 degrees or until chicken is tender.
