This is a recipe from a dear friend Glenda. It was one of her family's favorites and I have made it for family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken, cut-up
  • 1 cup rice, long grain
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 package dry french onion soup mix

How To Make chicken and rice bake

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9 X 11 baking pan or casserole place the pieces of chicken skin side up across bottom of pan.
  • Step 2
    Pour rice around pieces of chicken.
  • Step 3
    Mix together cream soups and water, heat and pour over the chicken and rice.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle package of dry french onion soup evenly over the top of the casserole.
  • Step 5
    Cover pan with Foil and seal. Put in oven for 2 hours. Do not peak until the 2 hours are up.
