chicken breasts, whole
1/4 c
1/4 c
green pepper
red pepper
1 c
white wine
1 Tbsp
fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
chopped parsley
bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Chicken and Peppers


  • 1Split chicken breasts in half.
  • 2Dredge in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • 3Melt butter in skillet.
  • 4Brown chicken breasts in butter.
  • 5Remove to a shallow, covered baking dish.
  • 6Saute peppers until limp.
  • 7Add to chicken.
  • 8Add wine to skillet and cook for a minute, scraping bits from bottom of pan with a wooden spoon.
  • 9Remove skillet from heat, add herbs to wine and pour over chicken.
  • 10Cover baking dish.
  • 11Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, basting once or twice during cooking.
