Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded chicken meat
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 9 - buttermilk bisquits, canned or homemade
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make chicken and dumplings

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Cook onion and pepper in butter until translucent. Add salt and flour, blend completely. Add soup and milk and cook until smooth and thick. Add cooked chicken and frozen vegetables. Pour into baking dish and top with biscuits and cheddar cheese.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
