My mom used to make this recipe at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone loves this and I make it for special occations or a family get together.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 large
    vidalia onion
  • 1 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    sage
  • 3-4 c
    chicken broth from your boiled chicken
  • 1-3 lb
    chicken boiled and cooled
  • medium
    left over cornbread

How to Make Chicken and Dressing

Step-by-Step

  1. Put your chicken on to boil until done 1 hr.Let cool, Crumble cornbread in a large bowl, Add Broth from chicken a little at a time. Add cream of chicken soup, and all seasoning and chop up into small pieces your onion, mix well kepp adding broth until you have a thick but not running mixture. Add chicken pulled from the bone and mix well. Pour into a greased baking pan (13x9) and bake at 375 until golden brown aprox. 1hr.
