Ingredients

8 oz
cornbread stuffing mix
1 stick
margarine, melted
1 c
water
4
chicken breasts, cooked and diced
3/4 c
diced onion
1/2 c
diced celery
3/4 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 c
real mayonnaise
2
eggs
1 1/2 c
milk
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
2 c
grated cheddar cheese

How to Make Chicken and Dressing Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix melted margarine and water with stuffing mix; toss lightly to mix well.
  • 2Place half of dressing mix in the bottom of a greased 12x8x2 inch dish.
  • 3Mix together chicken, onion, celery, salt, pepper, and mayonnaise. Spread mixture over layer of dressing.
  • 4Add remaining dressing for top layer. Beat eggs and milk together; pour over casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 5Remove one hour before baking and spread soup over the top. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with grated cheese.
