Ingredients

  • SESAME COOKING SAUCE:
  • - 1/2 cup water
  • - 1 tbsp. dry sherry
  • - 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • - 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • - 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • - 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • MARINADE:
  • - 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • - 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • - 2 tsp. dry sherry
  • - 2 tsp. water
  • - dash white pepper
  • CHICKEN STIR FRY:
  • - 1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
  • - 3 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • - 1/2 cup cashews
  • - 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • - 3 cups broccoli florets
  • - 1 cup julienned carrots
  • - 1/2 large onion, cut into wedges

How To Make chicken and broccoli stir fry with cashews

  • Step 1
    For the cooing sauce, mix the water, sherry, soy sauce, sugar, oil and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  • Step 2
    For the Marinade, mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, water and white pepper in another small bowl.
  • Step 3
    For the stir fry, add the chicken to the marinade; toss to coat. Stir in 1 1/2 tsp. of the oil. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    For the stir fry, add the chicken to the marinade; toss to coat. Stir in 1 1/2 tsp. of the oil. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Return chicken and cashews to wok. Stir in cooking sauce. Cook til sauce bubbles and thickens and chicken is cooked through, stirring constantly. Serves 6
