My kids actually call this recipe "Mama's Yum-Yums" because it is their favorite. It's not the healthiest meal that I make but sometimes you just want a big bowl of yummy comfort food!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 boxes penne pasta
- 2 jars alfredo sauce
- 16 ounces italian blend cheese
- 8 ounces parmesan cheese
- 10 ounces frozen peas
- 1 pound bacon
How To Make chicken alfredo pasta bake
-
Step 1Place bacon on parchment or foil-lined cookie sheet. DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN. Place in cool oven and set to 400 degrees. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy. Once cooled a little bit, dice or chop bacon.
-
Step 2Now that oven is warmed up, take chicken breasts and rub them with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic salt and Italian seasoning, flip them over and repeat. Bake for 25 minutes (or until cooked through) in oven at 400 degrees. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then chop into 1/2" cubes.
-
Step 3Boil pasta according to directions on box, drain well and put back into pot or large mixing bowl.
-
Step 4To the pasta, add alfredo sauce, chopped chicken, chopped bacon, Italian blend cheese and frozen peas and mix well.
-
Step 5Pour mixture into a 13x9 baking dish and top with parmesan cheese. Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. For a healthy dinner, serve with a salad. For a glutenous carb overload, serve with garlic bread.
