chicken alfredo casserole

I just came across this recipe and thought I would share it

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 6 ounces fettucine cooked and drained
  • 10 ounces package frozen broccoli cuts
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese(for sauce)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese ( for top)

How To Make chicken alfredo casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package. Drain and set aside.Run cold water over broccoli to thaw.
  • Step 2
    In a large saucepan melt butter. Stir in flour, basil, salt, and pepper. Add milk all at once cook and stir until bubbly. Cook and stir for one more minute. Remove from heat and stir in chicken 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and well drained broccoli. Add pasta toss to coat.
  • Step 3
    Place chicken mixture in greased 7x12 baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Remove foil add rest of cheese bake for another 10 or until heated through.
