Barb doesn't cook often anymore, but she made this, and it was YUMMY! Even Grizzly had to watch and sniff while she cooked! Over rice, yum. You could put over noodles if you wanted, I would suggest a thicker noodle to hold up to the great sauce. Or you could also put into puff pastry shells, which I remember Mom doing when I was a child. This recipe called for putting it over toast points though...LOL.

How To Make chicken ala king, barb's

Step 1Blend 1/4 c melted butter (Barb used 3 T melted butter) with 3 T flour. Blend in 1 c chicken broth and 1 c milk (Barb used 1 1/2 c liquid rather than 2 c).

Step 2Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat, until sauce is thick.

Step 3Add 1 t salt, 2 c diced cooked chicken, and a 3 oz can sliced mushrooms, well drained. Can add 1/4 c chopped pimiento if desired (Barb omitted). Heat through. Serve on toast points.
