Cherry Orange Chicken

6 lb
chicken, cut up
4 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 c
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
orange peel, grated
1/4 tsp
ground ginger
1/2 c
orange juice
1 lb
dark sweet cherries


1Place the cut up chicken in a large baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the chicken.
2Combine the brown sugar, orange peel, ginger, and orange juice, blending well, and pour over the chicken.
3Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
4Remove and add the cherries, then return to the oven and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and tender.
