This is my favorite to put on ribs and smoke.

1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 c
chopped onions
2 clove
garlic,this is alittle strong for me i use less
2 bottle
12 ounce ketchup-style chili sauce. i use regular ketchup most of the time
1 jar(s)
12-13 ounce cherry preserves
1 can(s)
cherry cola
1/3 c
golden brown sugar
1/4 c
balsamic vinegar
1 tsp
hot pepper sauce


1Heat oil in large pan over medium heat, add onions, saute until golden, add garlic and stir 1 minute. Add chili sauce, preserves, cola, brown sugar, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to med. low, simmer uncovered until reduced to 4 cups. Stir often about 60 minutes.
2Stir in 1 tsp. hot sause. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3Can be refridgerated for 2 weeks,
