  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 c
    chopped onions
  • 2 clove
    garlic,this is alittle strong for me i use less
  • 2 bottle
    12 ounce ketchup-style chili sauce. i use regular ketchup most of the time
  • 1 jar(s)
    12-13 ounce cherry preserves
  • 1 can(s)
    cherry cola
  • 1/3 c
    golden brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    hot pepper sauce

How to Make Cherry Cola BQ Sauce


  1. Heat oil in large pan over medium heat, add onions, saute until golden, add garlic and stir 1 minute. Add chili sauce, preserves, cola, brown sugar, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to med. low, simmer uncovered until reduced to 4 cups. Stir often about 60 minutes.
  2. Stir in 1 tsp. hot sause. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Can be refridgerated for 2 weeks,
