Ingredients

  • 1 bag - shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 16 oz packages sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 16 oz packages cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • 2 cups corn flake crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

How To Make cheesy potato hash brown casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat 13" x 9" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, whisk together soup, sour cream, salt & pepper. Stir in cheese, onion & hash browns until well mixed. Spoon evenly into baking dish.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, mix together cereal & butter. Sprinkle evenly on top of hash brown mixture.
  • Step 4
    Bake uncovered for about 50 minutes or until hot & bubbly. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with additional sliced green onion.
  • Step 5
    TIP: If desired, substitute condensed cream of chicken soup with condensed cream of turkey or mushroom soup.
