Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 - skined and boned chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup champagne or dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

How To Make champagne chicken

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, salt, and pepper in shallow dish. Dredge chicken in flour mixture.
  • Step 2
    Heat butter and oil in skillet; add chicken, and sauté 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  • Step 3
    Add Champagne; cook over medium heat about 12 minutes or until chicken is done.
  • Step 4
    Remove chicken, and set aside. Add mushrooms to skillet, and sauté 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add whipping cream to skillet; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until thickened. Add chicken, and cook until thoroughly heated.
  • Step 6
    Serve warm.
