I got this recipe out of A Taste Of Home cookbook. This is a really good recipe. I love the herbs on this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds broiler/fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon paprika, sweet mild
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary,crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make butter roast chicken

  • Step 1
    Place chicken in an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until juices run clear, basting ocassionally.
