I got this recipe out of A Taste Of Home cookbook. This is a really good recipe. I love the herbs on this recipe.

  • 3 lb
    broiler/fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika, sweet mild
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried rosemary,crushed
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper

How to Make Butter Roast Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Place chicken in an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until juices run clear, basting ocassionally.
