This is made from left over home made butter chicken gravy. I made it for my grandchildren, Ameera, Shiv, Vir and Jai and they loved it!!!

Ingredients
- 2 cups butter chicken gravy
- 2 cups chopped and cubed cooked chicken from the curry
- 3 med - red onions roughly sliced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups basmati rice
- 2-3 - green chilies slit and deseeded
- 8-10 - cloves garlic smashed
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons oil or butter
How To Make butter chicken rice

Step 1Wash rice thoroughly. Pour oil into hot saucepan and add onions. Fry till light pink. Add cooked chicken and garlic. Fry 1 min. Add rice, gravy , water and salt. Stir well. Cover pan and let cook on slow fire till all the liquid is absorbed. Put green chilies on top of the cooked rice and cover pan again. Leave about 10 minutes.

Step 2Serve hot with plain yogurt. Yummy.
