Ingredients
- MARINADE
- 2 teaspoons Kashmir chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
- 2 tablespoons garlic/ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons salt
- DISH
- 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite size pieces
- 2 tablespoons ghee or butter
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- basmati rice, for serving
- Naan bread, for serving
- cilantro, for serving
How To Make butter chicken

Step 1Mix the marinade ingredients together and add the chicken pieces and marinade at least 6 hours or overnight

Step 2Place the ghee into a large saucepan. Add the chicken reserving the marinade. Cook the chicken for around 5 minutes.

Step 3Mix the reserved marinade with the tomato sauce, heavy cream and brown sugar. Add to the pan with the chicken and simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve with rice, bread and cilantro
