These burgers can be made with lean ground beef. I usually combine chicken and ground lean pork for the burgers.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or chicken and pork mixed
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 - egg
- 1/3 cup panko crumbs or seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, light
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 - hamburger buns
- 4 stalks romaine lettuce leaves
- 1/2 cup blue cheese
- - caramelized onions
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups onions finely sliced
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
How To Make burger with cramelized onions

Step 1In large bowl mix together the meat, worcestershire sauce,, egg, crumbs, soy sauce and olive oil, until combined, form into 4 patties not packed hard, refrigerate until onions are finished.

Step 2In medium size saucepan add oil over medium-high heat, add onions and cook for 5 minutes, add a pinch of salt. water, vinegar and sugar and cook for 5 minutes. Lower heat to medium-low, cover and cook for 30 minutes, remove lid and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, set aside.

Step 3When onions are nearly finished turn on the BBQ to medium high. Grill for 5 minutes, rotate and grill another 5 minutes, then flip burgers and cook the same as other side.

Step 4When burgers are fully cooked place a lettuce leaf on bun add the burger and top with onions and a piece of blue cheese and top with other half of bun.
