Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1
    soup can of milk
  • 1 or 2 c
    uncooked minute rice
  • 1 can(s)
    mushroom stem and pieces (undrained)
  • 1
    envelope (about 1 1/2 oz) of dry onion soup mix
  • 2
    chicken breasts cut in half

How to Make Breast of Chicken on Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350 Degrees F
  2. Blend soup and milk, reserve about 1/2 cup of this mixture and set aside
  3. Stir together remaining soup mixture, the rice, mushrooms (with liquid) and half the onion soup mix
  4. Pour into ungreased 9 x 12 baking dish
  5. Arrange chicken breasts on rice mixture pressing down slightly
  6. Pour reserved soup mixture over chicken and sprinkle with remaining onion soup mix
  7. Cover with Aluminum Foil and bake for 1 hour then remove foil and cook it an additional 15 minutes
