My husband I kept ordering something like this at a local restraunt. I decided to go home and try to make it myself. Its pretty easy and quick and now we no longer have to go to the restraunt to get it.

2 lb
boneless skinless chicken
peanut oil
blackened seasoning
1 pkg
yellow rice (family size)
2 can(s)
black beans
cheddar cheese, shredded
chopped onion
sour cream

How to Make Blackened Chicken Rice Bowl


  • 1Heat oil in skillet. Cover chicken with blackened seasoning and fry chicken until it reaches internal temperature of 170 degrees.
  • 2Make rice according to package instructions and season with salt and pepper. Heat canned black beans with salt and pepper.
  • 3When all complete assemble bowls. Rice, black beans, and chicken. Top with cheese, onions, and sour cream.
